I observed that when I'm navigating in the heading modus and when I want to work on my laptop starting a new topic (writing letters, reading something o watching youtube), so my vessel is not going further and remains on "standby" ... when I want to progress on my journey, I have to let open the screen or the desktop ... but that is very annoying! Is that a bug?

The heading button doesn't do anything at this stage. Yes the simulation only moved forward when the page is looked at. Browser makers decided in their wisdom that the internal animation clock should be stopped when users are on a different tab in the browser. I agree that the ship should keep moving. Yesterday I added code that pushes the simulation forward at course 1 second intervals even if you are not on the page. This way batteries of mobile devices don't get hit too hard while the simulation keeps running in real time

IF YOU REFRESH YOUR BROWSER YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO RUN THE SIMULATOR EVEN IF YOU HAVE OTHER TABS OPEN.
