Reverse on the ship

Hey, I was playing on  my career today and I don't know what is wrong with the reverse but I turned the throttle to reverse and instead of going into reverse I went faster in going forward when i had the ship in forward throttle. I don't know if I am doing something wrong or this is a bug. I am using Chrome. Thanks

Maybe you turned rudder 180 degrees? That may happen with some ships.

Yeah, what the previous poster suggested. Double click or tap the wheel if you want to be sure your rudder is in neutral position.
Secondly, depending on the ship, response might be slow due to a ships inertia.
 Most ships have propellers that are designed for forward thrust. Running them in reverse is less effective thus again slowing the response.
