After a wonderful trip from Helsinki to Kotka (Finland), my Stena-Hollandica found a place to moore in paralell to the Vasikkasaari quayside on Thursday evening (17:00 UTC). The next morning I found her turned 90° clockwise, half on the quay, half lying in the water. The turnindicator still turned very slowly, although neither the machines nor the bow thruster were in operation. One azipod was left turned 90° from the mooring operation, the day before. When unmooring, land-water detection stroke back and the ship has been taken out of the simulation. Later, I considered what the reason could have been, and remembered, that at this time a wind of 15 kts blew. I suspect that this wind and the missing land-water detection in the offline-sailing mode have moved the ship despite mooring. The First Officer claims to have been sober.
